REVIEW - This is an older park that is somewhat difficult to get into. By that, I mean that the Hiway 182 leading into the park is very twisty with tight hairpin turns (not an exageration), quite steep and has large drop offs that do not have guardrails, cable barriers or any highway safety amenities. Persons with very large 5th wheels, Class A coaches will have their skill tested as you traverse through very curvy roads, switch backs that are very tight and extreme elevations to tow or drive up. We have a 40' Class A and a toad behind so we are nearly 60' long. I had some turns that were tight enough that I had to swing way wide to avoid the toad from dropping off the edge of the road. There is no shoulder.
Once inside the park you still have one more tight 180* right hand turn to get into the campground. There is a dump site for those not lucky enough to reserve a FHU site. There is a small store in the registration building without much to speak of in the way of supplies. It's recommended that you shop and stock up prior to entering the park. Most sites are not quite level but none have severe sloping problems. Be aware, the water pressure in this park is severely low. My on-board pressure gauge averaged 19-20 PSI. You will have to fill your on board fresh water tank and use your on-board pump to gain decent pressure.
The redeeming feature of this park is it's cave tours and scenic beauty. Fishing, kayaking, canoeing are popular here on the lake. There are no rentals available. There is a miniature golf course and an 18 hole golf course (closed at this time). Shopping is 45 minutes away.
