REVIEW - This is a really well kept Corp of Engineers Park. Grass is mowed the check in office is landscaped in front, there is a great playground for the kids, a very clean restroom/shower and you are right on the Mississippi river at lock and dam 14. You can watch huge barges lock through the dam. Quit a feat.  Each slab is concrete ranging from 40' to 70' in length we off loaded the toad from our dolly and I backed into our site (#28 - 70' long) with my dolly still attached. All sites are back in sites. There are water spigots within 100' of each parking slab so bring extra hose to fill up with fresh water but these are communal so you cannot leave a hose hooked up, you must fill as needed. You will need to have a sewage cart and a screen room if you choose to have coffee in the morning or a cocktail in the evening while sitting outside. Each parking site has a fire pit and picnic table. Slabs are 12' wide and most are nearly dead level and a lot of the sites will easily accommodate a 40' Class A.

REVIEW - This park has been around since forever. I camped my first time here way back in the early 60's with my parents. Simply put, it's tired.  The showers although adequate are in need of a deep cleaning. They are badly dated somewhat smelly and always wet. The high point on the shower floors seem to be the drains. The water is everywhere in the men's bathroom/shower. The pads that will accommodate a 40' + Class A motorcoach are few.  Most if not all pads are out of level but many are severally out of level. Our RV site (site 44) is as level as they get here and is also a 50 AMP site.

Firepits are at each site, no water and no sewer. Make sure you dump and fill your fresh water tank on arrival. A sewage cart is a must if you stay longer than your tank capacity. All site pads are gravel and very dusty. Most of the sites are nicely shaded with picnic tables. The length of the sites vary greatly. Beware if you book on Reserve America. Make sure you look at the length of the pad vs the length of useable pad. I booked on site 22 (which is WAY out of level) and Reserve America said the site was 47' long. That seems to be true but the useable pad is listed at 25' so make sure you read the entire site description.
